With frost already promised in Latvia, 2Drive.lv strongly recommends that you pay attention to the following:
- Windscreen wipers – if they leave streaks on the windscreen or restrict visibility, replace them.
- Car headlights – make sure your car headlights are cleaned, working and adjusted to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic.
- Window fluid – use window fluid for winter and make sure it is always at the right level.
- Interior air filter – If your vehicle’s windows are fogged up, start by replacing the interior air filter.
- Tyres are the only part of the car that is in direct contact with the road surface – make sure they are fit for driving by checking the tread depth and air pressure of your tyres. And remember, OLD FAT – BAD FAT!
- Battery – If you find that you don’t want to jump on cooler mornings, it might be time to change your battery.
- Car door and window rubbers will not freeze if you treat them in time with a special antifreeze silicone
We also strongly recommend you to come and have a warm coffee and check if your vehicle is ready for the coldest months of the year – Ziepniekkalna iela 74, Riga!
